  This is our 3rd summer with chinook and I hate to say this year was the worst...the bathrooms are horrible...they smell bad and the showers were disgusting, there were chunks of the fiberglass shower stall missing..holes the size of quaters...my family swam in the pool for the first time in 3 years and we kept getting covered in hair...and the day of our RESERVED tubing trip (which I made back in April) we ended having to wait an hour and a half after our reservation time in order to go because the drivers could not handle the amount of people (per workers in the barn)...and lastly the last night we were there all of the electric went out and there was a fire in the electrical box on the pole near the bathrooms....I have to say I have enjoyed the campgrounds but I feel they need to do some upgrades starting with the bathrooms and possibly some more vans...

  We decided to try Chinook this year and while we did have a good time I must say, the tube rental was OUTRAGEOUS! I did overlook the rates before coming (which is my fault) but I couldn't believe it was $18 for a single tube, $36 for a double tube and another $10 to transport each tube to the river. We ended up walking to the general store and buying 2 double tubes for $80 (that we can keep!) and paid the extra $20 for them to get us to the river. An unexpected expense for a cheap camping trip. I doubt we will come back.

  Best campground ever! :) The people are friendly, the place is always clean, there is a pool, you get rides to the river, there is a liquor/convenient store right across the street w/frozen food, the people at the store are nice and generous, the owner of the campground and his wife are the best people you can meet, there is an arcade for the kids and a pool table for adults, the rec room is right in the middle of the park conviently, quiet time is 10pm, but you can still party at low tones, there are two bathrooms, one near the rec room, the other in the back near the front and the pool, the people are awesome and down to earth, and staying there was the best time in my whole life. :) I can't wait to go back next summer to stay for the season! :) I would definitely recommend anyone to go there during the summer time just for a night or for a weekend stay. It's definitely worth your time.
